Rhode Island Holocaust Memorial

9-6, x 101 x 44, 2015
granite, landscape
Site: Memorial Park, Providence, RI. The Memorial consists of four parts. The first is the Entrance Gate. The second is the Path that diminishes in size as did the Jewish population of Europe under the Nazis. The path is inlaid with railroad tracks, an icon of the Holocaust. At the end of the path is the Life Stone that marks the future and a continuance of a culture. The fourth part consists of six columns for the six million Jews that were murdered in the Holocaust.
