Site: Temple Beth El, Providence, RI. Gaze is a 30 high, fabricated bronze tapered pillar that sits on the front lawn of Temple Beth El. The horizontal cross section anywhere along its length is the Star of David. The only position from which one can see the full Star is from above the piece looking down. If one views it from the ground, one might not be aware of its cross section. It appears simply as a fluted spire. Once you know its cross section that becomes an essential part of the experience.
