Site: Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art, Providence, RI. This sculpture has two parts. The first is a vertical column of five ellipsoids. The second part is as if one took the column apart and scattered the five stones across the lawn of the garden area in front of the front entrance of the museum. The column can be seen clearly from Benefit Street. The horizontal stones are 18" high and provide casual seating. The sitting stones become visible as one walks down the ramp towards the Museum entrance. When positioned in front of the entrance, looking towards Benefit Street, the column and the five sitting stones are all visible.
